Disquiet Junto Project 0746: Music for Takeoff

Dear Members of the Disquiet Junto,
Buncha good stuff going on, so lemme do this as a series of line items:
Flight:This week’s project involves airplanes. Details down below.
Double: Thanks to everyone who participated this past week. I had no idea how it was going to go, and I appreciated how people reflected on the concept. That was a lot of fun.
Bern: I just had a great conversation with Tobias Reber this afternoon (Wednesday, that is), and it looks like the Disquiet Junto will again be collaborating on a series of projects with Musikfestival Bern this year. Details to come.
Trios: Next week, with project 0747, we’ll start the annual-ish “trios” sequence, in which the first week people record a solo, and the next week someone else elects to add to it, and the third week, someone turns it into a trio. This sequence is one of the best things to come out of the Junto each year, and I highly encourage people to participate. (And to be clear: You don’t need to participate in all three consecutive projects.)
Milestone: The week after the trios projects conclude will be our 750th (!) consecutive weekly Disquiet Junto project. Quite the milestone.
Playlists: The flight home to San Francisco from New York (my long ago, former home) clearly wiped me out, because I have yet to do the playlists for the past two projects, an unusual oversight I’ll get to tomorrow.
And that covers it. Thanks, as always, for your generosity with your time, creativity, and curiosity. It means the world.
Best from San Francisco,
Marc Weidenbaum
